I have been a busy Bee” Buzzzz” the last two weeks. I got my first sponsorships for Flickr, and I have been working hard to produce “artsy’ yet commercial images. It has made me organize many ideas, and tackle some logistics…. This is a challenge for me... Since most of the companies and designers have different rules. I have a cheat sheet as to what needs to happen when I post. So far, the system is working, and I have been delighted, I would prefer to focus more on the images rather than the logistics, so streamline is key. It is nice to have the challenge and it lets me try new things and angles I tend not to use or think of on my own. I am going to take a moment and do a spotlight on the first three Sponsors Aii Ugly and Beautiful, Venge/Vengeful Thread, and Zombie Suicide. The other two are very new “Anny’s Fashion” has so many cool outfits, I can’t wait to start brainstorming on ideas, and “Inspiration” is a quarterly event in-world, and as soon as I get a an idea of items I will work on an outline of ideas for a few sets. The theme this round is “Cher: Leather & Lace” which works since Emah, and Trinity think I resemble Cher sometimes. I have been talking to Pink Rayne and discussing ideas, she is the organizer for the Blog HUB Group in SL as well as Inspiration. It is hard not to get excited from her attitude and enthusiasm, Pink gave me a link to the showroom, and it look so damn cool. I am excited for you all to see it. The Shutterbug is very much twirling around me. My great friend Kimmi Skye Has really let her creative wings fly. She started her own blog I look forward to her posts daily, she is much more disciplined than I am when it comes to actual blog posts. She and I bounce ideas, collaborate a lot with pictures, and are always critical of each other’s work… In a good way. I love seeing her grow and expand her ideas, and with each image she makes it gets better and better. I am proud of her, and I know she struggles with being her own worst critic but she is amazing. So check out her stuff, see the transitions, and perv how awesome she is at making her avatar look fucking stunning. It has been a very weird summer and with the slow change to autumn, I cannot help but feel excited. It has been exactly one year Trinity and I started to rekindle our friendship, and love for each other. Our relationship has had its difficulties of course, and it is safe to say we have had long breaks between. In the end, what matters is I need her, and she needs me. We get each other, and sometimes we lose track of that and let emotions get in the way. I giggle and smile because I know she is there for me, when I need her. So yes, this time of year is my favorite. Mild cold nights, the smell of burning fires, the taste of warm tea as I sit outside reading a book. It also reminds me of that simple little email from trinity, that sparked our flame. So remember to enjoy your time and take in the fresh autumn air and be thankful for those around you and have in your life. Below I will go over the sponsors and show off a little. Until Next time - Zoë Willows +Aii The Ugly & BeutifulAii U&B makes some of the wickedest stylish clothing, accessories and body parts (Skins Heads, and whatever else you can think of). They have been around for a long time in SL, and I remember browsing their old store, and just in awe of the quality. Four years ago if I was asked if I was going to work for, and or talk to Aii I would think you are nuts. Aii is a sweetheart, one of the nicest owners I have spoken with, and she is supportive, and cool with creatively doing your own thing. Ego the blogger manager is stunning, professional and very helpful. I have done quite a bit of pictures with their stuff even before sponsorship. The Friday morning when their “Dragon Brothers” gacha released for the Arcade. I had the photo set all ready and I snapped this shot as soon as I heard the cling in my inventory for my blogger package. After the dust settled for the weekend, I was talking to Aii, and she was so honored and excited seeing all of her creations on Flickr, blogs, and in-world. It felt nice to be part of that and share in her experiences, and I am thankful for her trust to do so. Check out their store by clicking their logo VENGE/Vengeful ThreadsVENGE/Vengeful Threads has been great to work with I have done a few shots for them already, and I have used their makeup before so I knew I would have great ideas. They have a basic makeup to extravagant and crazy dark cool stuff. They also make some sweet accessories and clothes. I have been working with Arcadia the blogger manager a bit, picking her brain for ideas, they need and special items they want to display. It was an absolute warm welcome form all the staff and owner. I have already done three shots for them, the last one fits into my “darker’ goth-cyber looks I tend to post. Click on their logo to go to their MP. Zombie SuicideWhat can I not say about Zombie Suicide? I have had a few of their markups, and accessories and have had them in shots and I always love their consistency. The latest Pandora’s Box mask is awesome. Isis the owner is a darling and super fun to work with. I have a nice shot of her new shoes on Flickr, as well as the one I posted here. I already have three postings for ZS and I have so many more ideas. She is creatively open and a pleasure to work with her. Go for reals!!! check out the store, so many cool things! I really like the ball gag, I was tempted to do something with it first but I am waiting for a great idea. Click on the ZS logo for the storefront.
